The Bagel Guy

From my hotel room here in New York every morning at around 7am Ive noticed a guy who without fail wheels his Bagel Stand into place right on the street corner.About half an hour later at around 7.30am a line of people begins to form and its all the Bagel guy can do to keep up with demand as people thrust their cash at him as a Bagel and hot coffee buying frenzy begins to take place.After this rush it goes quiet for a few hours until lunch time and then quiet again until early evening before he finally wheels his Bagel Wagon away and goes home.

Now the reason I point this out and the reason I found this interesting as I stared down at him from my hotel suiteIs that it reminded me of two very important things:

The bottom line for him is if he is not selling his Bagels he is not earning a single penny.Its his own business yes but on the other hand its his personal own PRISON too…

He cant do what he wants go where he wants and hell never live the life he could be living because of it. In short he is well and truly trapped!So he like 99.9 of everyone else in business or those working for someone else is doing the exact opposite of what you would do.
